摘要：中国绘画有着悠久的历史，传统绘画中矿物色运用的方法和文化内涵是当代绘画技法的集大成者，今天，我们还可以看到不少古代绘画作品，壁画、唐周昉的《簪花仕女图》等，这些作品距今已相当久远但画上面的色彩都还没有褪去，这是中国矿物质颜料的独特性能，为颜料使用者呈现出一个比较全面而可靠的性能指导，用矿物色渲染的绘画作品历经千年而不变，是其他颜料所不及的。
本文主要对矿物质颜料起源、发展史和几种矿物质色的研究和概述，文章第一部分，主要概述矿物质颜料的起源。文章第二部分，主要概述矿物质颜料的发展。文章第三部分介绍了几种矿物质色，包括它的性状、色相、产地、功效、应用等。通过对矿物质色研究以及在创作中的实践，在这一探索过程中进一步对矿物质色的了解，希望能在矿物质颜料的使用中有所突破和不断完善。32187

一、中国传统矿物质颜料的起源
中国画简称国画，古称“丹青”。研究中国画，不可避免的要对颜料的研究，颜料在中国画中有着独特的研究价值，我今天主要是对中国画中矿物质颜料的研究。先秦两汉时期盛行的阴阳五行论对我国影响最大学说之一，由于受到五行论思想深刻的影响，在当时的绘画色彩上也以五行色为最基本的颜色，而石色即为主要颜料。
中国传统矿物质颜料起源于新、旧石器时代，此后各个时期，矿物质颜料不断地被人们所使用，新石器时代的陶器上的装饰花纹都是使用天然矿物色，“其起源可追溯到新石器晚期。而自此以后的各个时期，由于矿物质颜料不断地被人们所采用，遂发展成为以彩绘为特点的设色所需的原材料。”[2]中国地大物博，孕育了丰富的矿产资源为古代丹青彩绘的主要原料，所使用的矿物质颜料主要是矿石中研磨提炼。在我国原始时期就有将矿物用于药理，山顶洞人会用赤铁矿粉末来装饰物品的设色技法，并把它作为防腐剂。
二、中国矿物质颜料使用概述
