Abstract
Village cadres are directly elected by the villagers in China. It has the milestone significance in the process of political participation and the political democratization advancement and it is a political democracy development in our country and a major symbol of modernization. But rural elite plays a important role that can not be ignored. They inherited the characteristics of the traditional gentry and hold inpiduality under the socialism with Chinese characteristics. This article is from the historical evolution process of squire culture and small area democratic model to explore the behavior of this class's impact on the rural grassroots democracy construction.

1 绪论
1．1 选题的背景和意义：
