ABSTRACT Iron Man 3, a superhero movie released in 2013, has gained great popularity since its debut. Previous researches on Iron Man 3 and other superhero movies mainly focused on the origins of heroes, characters, images, the literal translation and social humanity. Few studies have explored the conversational implicature in these superhero movies from the perspective of Cooperative Principle (hereafter CP). Therefore, CP constitutes an alternative approach to the study of superhero movies.46380
Grice firstly put forward Cooperative Principle when delivering the speech “Logic and Conversation” in Harvard University in 1967. This principle includes four maxims, namely, Quality Maxim, Quantity Maxim, Relation Maxim and Manner Maxim. According to CP, people always intentionally or unintentionally violate one or more of these maxims, which will bring about special Conversational Implicature.
This current paper, employing the methods of Inductive Analysis and Case Study, analyzes Conversational Implicature in Iron Man 3 from the perspective of violating CP. The major findings of this study not only offer viewers a better insight into such movies and other audiovisual works but also have both theoretical and practical implications for foreign language teaching and learning.

摘 要《钢铁侠3》是2013年上映的超级英雄电影,自上映以来就深受广大观众的喜爱。前人对《钢铁侠3》及超级英雄系列的研究重点主要放在了英雄的起源，人物塑造，人物形象，翻译及其反应的社会人文方面。很少有人就语用学中合作原则的角度分析《钢铁侠3》中的会话含义，因此从合作原则研究超级英雄可成成一种新研究范式.
美国著名语言学家格莱斯于1967年在哈佛大学演讲中提出了合作原则，这一原则包括四个准则，即量的准则，质的准则，关系准则和方式准则。合作原则认为，人们往往会有意无意的违背其中一项或者多项准则，从而产生特殊的会话含义。
本文旨在运用归纳和举例的研究方法，以合作原则为理论框架，从违反合则原则的角度分析超级英雄电影《钢铁侠3》中的会话含义。该研究不仅有助于读者从新的视角更好地理解类似主题的影视作品，而且对外语教学也有一定的理论启示与实际意义。
