Title The Optimization and Simulation of Discrete 

production line based on Flexsim

Abstract

With the fiercely increasing market competition and energy, materials, human resources cost rising, manufacturing enterprise rely more and more on Modeling and simulation technology. Flexsim is a powerful analysis tool which can create a 3D computer model of real system and help enterprise to make more informed decisions. This paper explores the bottlenecks of the discrete production line, using Flexsim to model emulate the production line. Then it proposes optimization scheme to reduce the waiting time of WIP and improves the production rate of production lines, which leads to the achieving the goal of higher production efficiency of the production line with less cost.
